Student council

There is a School Council at our Dartington site and at the Marldon site that meets monthly. The Student Council plays an important part in the life of the academy. KS3 and 4 students volunteer to be on the School Council and at meetings will represent the views of young people attending the centres. The School Council is involved in making decisions on behalf of all students; making requests to the Senior Leadership Team for changes to the facilities and systems; interviewing new staff; showing visitors around the site; and supporting younger or new students when they join the academy. The School Council also plays an important part in fund-raising and supporting charitable causes such as the Shoe Box Appeal; Red Nose Day; Cancer Research and other local charities.
